Copilot Podcasts is a new way to create personalized, on-demand audio content on topics that interest you. When you ask Copilot to generate a podcast, it carefully curates information on your topic from the web and produces an audio that you can listen to at any time.
Copilot Podcasts are currently only available in English and Spanish. This feature will expand to additional markets and languages soon.
You need to be signed in to Copilot to generate a podcast. Subscribers to Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, and Premium have access to extended usage of Copilot Podcasts.
Creating a Copilot Podcast
Here’s how to use it:

Select the Open (+) icon below your prompt and select Create a podcast from the drop-down menu.

Type a prompt for Copilot to generate a podcast on a specific topic (for example: “Create a podcast about the history of space travel”).

Copilot will acknowledge your request and let you know when the podcast is ready to listen to. It may take 2-5 minutes for Copilot to generate your podcast.
Note: If you are using the Copilot mobile app, you can receive a push notification on your phone to open Copilot when your podcast is ready. You must have enabled notifications from the Copilot app to receive this reminder.

Press Listen to play the generated podcast. Copilot will take you to a page where it will play the podcast and display audio controls (e.g. pause, play, or jump forward/backwards).
After your podcast is generated, Copilot will retain it for the same amount of time as other conversations in your conversation history.
Certain requested topics may trigger safety filters, preventing Copilot from generating your podcast. This can happen if the topic includes sensitive content, such as violence or explicit material.
Sharing Copilot Podcasts
If you want to share your Copilot Podcast with others, you can generate a link you can use to share it with others.
Select the share icon in the Podcast to generate a direct link to the podcast in Copilot that you can paste elsewhere. Those that receive the link can use it to open the generated podcast directly on copilot.com or the Copilot app.
